Figmaâthe design tool your product team wonât shut up aboutâhas confidentially filed for an IPO. This comes a year after their $20B deal with Adobe collapsed faster than your weekend plans.
đ¨ Breaking News:
Figma just filed confidential IPO paperwork, signaling itâs ready to hit the stock market after ditching the Adobe merger last year.
âĄWire Simplified â
Adobe tried buying Figma for $20B, but regulators werenât vibing.
Deal got canned in 2023 after antitrust pushback.
Now Figmaâs tryna go solo via IPOâsuper hush-hush for now.
Itâs one of the most-used design tools by startups, tech teams, and even Zoomers with Canva fatigue.
The IPO could be one of 2025âs biggest SaaS market debuts.
âď¸Straight to the Point:
Figmaâs flying solo to Wall Street, and if the vibes (and valuation) are right, it could reshape SaaS IPO hype this year.
đ¤ Do you think Figma can succeed without Adobeâs backing? |

Google (the search king) just got hit with a "cease and desist" from Japanâs Antimonopoly agency for being a bit too clingy with Android deals.
đ¨ Breaking News:
Japanâs watchdog told Google to stop unfairly squeezing phone makers into bundling its servicesâclaiming it's stifling local competition.
âĄWire Simplified â
Japan says Google forced phone makers to pre-install its search & Chrome if they wanted Play Store access.
Thatâs like saying âyou can only sit at the cool kids' table if you wear my merch.â
This violates fair competition rules, per Japanâs Fair Trade Commission.
Google denies wrongdoing, but itâs getting similar heat from the EU and US.
Japan wants more breathing room for homegrown apps and services.
âď¸Straight to the Point:
Googleâs getting grilled again for playing monopolyâthis time in Japan, where regulators want to keep the tech playground fair and square.
